Therefore,
if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has
come!

this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the
ministry of reconciliation:
19that
God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins
against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.

Corinthians 5:17 - 19
With
the new year comes a time of planning for the months to come. The emphasis of
church life for 2008 will be centered in four areas:
Outreach:
The love of Christ compels us
to reach out
into the community.
Upward
Basketball is going to be a huge effort to reach out to families in the
community. This will test our commitment to outreach and service. In what way
are you going to participate?
Discipleship:
Christ… gave us the ministry of reconciliation
Small
Group expansion. This is the second full year of small group ministry. People
connecting with one another for the purpose of spiritual growth. If you’re not
involved in a small group yet, talk with Pastor Hudson.
Proclamation:
And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.
I’ll
be preaching through chapters 4,5 & 6 of Ephesians. The theme will be “Living
as Children of Light”.
Building:
The old has gone, the new has come.
Interior work
in our sanctuary will conclude our renovation project. It is time to bring our
facility up to date. This will be an ambitious project, but it will be worth
it. May the Lord bless the work of His people as we seek to honor Him in all
things.
